Council President John Carriger, Council Camping and Outdoor Adventure Chair Rick Marson, met with Korbel Winery owner Gary Heck to tell him thank you for his continue contribution and support of the scouts of the Redwood Empire Council. Mr. Heck’s Foundation has established a campership fund for scouts with financial needs to be able to pay for half the cost our Redwood Empire Camp fees. With these funds along with generous donations from Summit State Bank and the Gala Fund-a-Need we were able to send scouts to our Cub Resident and Twilight Camps and Boy Scouts Resident Camp. They will also be available to support our council’s Venturer Resident Camp and Redwood to Wave Trek Programs.
