The REC Commissioner Corps needs your help!

I know. . . you’re asking yourself, “What exactly is the Commissioner Corps?”

Commissioners serve at many different levels in the Council.  There are Unit Commissioners, District Commissioners, Roundtable Commissioners, and a Council Commissioner.  Commissioners fulfill many roles.  They may help a unit as a representative to the District and / or Council.  They may be a “doctor” or counselor or simply act as a sounding board.

The Council needs more of these fabulous people in all three of our Districts!

Pomo needs Unit Commissioners, Roundtable Commissioners and a District Commissioner.

Miwok needs Unit Commissioners and Roundtable Commissioners.

Yokayo-Logger needs Unit Commissioners and Roundtable Commissioners.

And now, I know you’re asking yourself, “Can I be a Commissioner?”

Yes!  You can be as long as you’re over 18.  Previous Scouting experience is very helpful but not 100% necessary.  We’ll train you!

“What’s the time commitment?”  Unit Commissioners typically spend about one hour per week staying in touch with their units.  Roundtable Commissioners usually spend about an hour and a half per week; being a District Commissioner requires a bit more of a commitment.
