ROBERT JASON PINOLI, Guest speaker

Robert Jason Pinoli is a principal of Mendocino Railway, the company which owns and operates the Skunk Train where he serves as “The Chief Skunk”. Robert also serves as a Vice President for Sierra Railroad Company and the Sierra Nevada Railroad Corporation. 

Robert started working for the Skunk Train in 1993 in what was a summertime high school job. At the ripe age of fourteen Robert was successful in starting an Inn on his family ranch which still operates today. Robert has an interest in several agricultural and energy related businesses throughout California.

He is currently appointed by the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors to the BID Advisory Board (a board which deals with bed tax dollars used for tourism). Robert is the past Vice Chair for Visit Mendocino County (VMC), and Treasurer for Mendocino County Lodging Association (MCLA) of which he was a founding board member. He is a past board member for the Mendocino Coast Chamber of Commerce, Mendocino County Promotions Alliance (MCPA) and the Oakdale Chamber of Commerce. Robert has also served on several advisory committees for financial institutions in the North Bay.

Robert has a degree in business administration with minors in psychology and accounting. He is a graduate of the Disney Institute and has various certificates in the hospitality industry.
