National BSA requires all adult members to complete new CBC release form

Due to recent changes in various state laws regarding criminal background checks, disclosure requirements, and requirements for securing permission to run a background check, the National Council BSA is requiring each BSA adult member age 18 or older to read the newest disclosure forms and complete the Revised Background Check Authorization form.

Note that the Revised CBC Authorization forms should be submitted with your unit charter renewal form in December.  Council/district Scouters not registered with units, and merit badge counselors not registered with units will receive individual requests to submit the Authorization forms directly to the Council Service Center.
