New Website Design Underway - Coming Soon

Several Scouters on our council marketing committee led by council vice president Bruce Mayfield, are working with our website developers and support V2 Communications for a completely refreshed website design for our council website. 

This redesign has been underway for several weeks.  It will continue to utilize council and district calendars, with registration links to our camps, district activities, and badge workshops using ScoutTools/MyCouncil registration software, which is one of the 3 leading software packages available specifically for BSA councils and units to use.

Our new webpage design will utilize WordPress software, known for being compatible with most webpage design elements, and particularly appreciated for presenting websites on multiple devices (computers, laptops, tablets, and smart phones).  The new design will utilize the modern appeal of "clean presentation" and upgrade to current BSA marketing standards.  The new website design is not live yet, but can be previewed at the placeholder website new.redwoodbsa.org/  It is our hope to move all content of the new website design to our existing URL www.redwoodbsa.org during the upcoming holiday season (if not sooner).

We are still looking for suggestions from more Scouters regarding content.  Content specific to our council camps and activities will continue to be created by council volunteers, council staff, and district volunteers.  We will also have more links back to official National BSA webpages for important resources.
