National Training Events

Every 2 years, Area 3 hosts a National Leadership Seminar somewhere in the area. This event is regularly attended by both Youth and Adult members of Orca Lodge. Many of these weekends also host a training seminar for Advisers. In 2016, the new adult training seminar was introduced (Developing Youth Leadership Conference or DYLC). The former National Lodge Adviser Training Seminar (NLATS), has been moved to web training for adult Advisers to help in the mechanics of running the Lodge.

In 2018, an updated version the National Leadership Seminar was introduced to help distinguish this training from the standard weeklong National Youth Leader Training (NYLT) that adopted many of the parts of the older NLS course.
