This internal Orca Lodge Award was presented to 2 members at the 2016 Annual Lodge Dinner in November. Thank you to Mr. Bleibaum and Mr. Abel for all of the support that you give the Lodge
Founder's Award
The Order of the Arrow Founder's Award is given to those who give unselfish service to Scouting and the Order. This year, this award was presented to Tyler W. and Father Nayture. Your service to the the Council is very important to the success of the Outdoor Ethics programs in the area.
Vigil Honor
The Vigil Honor is the highest recognition that a Lodge can bestow upon a member. At the Fall Induction weekend, 4 new Vigil Honor members were recognized. They are Brendan S., Gordon H., Alex Bleibaum, and Donna Lake. These members are highly deserving of this recognition.
James E. West Fellowship
This award is given by the lodge to honor a member for extraordinary service and to make that recognition permanent by making a contribution to the Council Endowment fund. This year we honored Daniel Hemphill
Lodge Recognitions
This year the Lodge was recognized with 2 National awards. The first was an OA Service Grant to help in building the Council MakerLab. The next award was the OA Innovation Award, that was given for our successful ownership of the Council's Outdoor Ethics Program.
With all of this work, Orca Lodge has finished the last requirements to be recognized as a 2016 Journey to Excellence - Gold Lodge.
