Description

Located on the South Fork of the American River.  There are many activities to do while at Camp Lotus.  This camp is frequented by river rafting groups of all ages and group size.  Campsites are grassy & there are many trees on the property that help provide shade at different times of day.  During the mid-day, this camp can seem deserted, but after a days rafting, the camp is full to capacity with many different groups who have had a great day on the river.  Due to the popularity of whitewater running, this camp is normally full on summer weekends.

Facilities

30 natural sites with adjacent parking sized for groups of 5 to 50 people.  All sites are within 5 to 150 yards of the river. 

10 sites with water & electric hookup for RV's

Free hot showers (both private showers & gym style showers)

There are also cabin rentals available.

Store & Deli with camping supplies, cold drinks, basic groceries & a full service deli.  Known for morning espresso & fresh baked goods

Fire: Designated fire pits only

Water: Available.

Wood: Available for purchase

Please note that No Dogs are allowed at Camp Lotus.  Also, there are quiet hours from 10pm-7am.  Camp Lotus was used for many years by the Redwood Empire Council High Adventure team as a base for their annual whitewater raft trip.
