Hello Pomo District Scouts, Scouters, and Scouting families-
It is with great pleasure that I report to you that the Pomo District is currently at gold level for Journey to Excellence. While we still have four months to go in 2014, this is great news! In 2013, Pomo District did not even earn a bronze award. Why am I bringing this up now? Because in order to maintain this level, there are pieces of the puzzle that rely on you, the Scouting families.
It is important that we continue to invite friends to join us in the Scouting fun. It is also important that Scouts are advancing in rank each year and that these advancements are entered online. Lastly, it is important that we participate in the Council fundraising opportunities including Friends of Scouting and popcorn sales.
If all of these goals are accomplished the District (and likely the Redwood Empire Council) will attain the gold level for the entire year. Together, I know that we can get all of our Packs, Troops, Crews, and Teams to the gold level!
