Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops is the basic training for Scouts, usually held on a single day in a troop setting, led by the Senior Patrol Leader and the Scoutmaster.

ILST consists of training designed to help Scouts learn the basic roles of each Scout leadership position, and basic team building skills needed to have an effective Patrol Leaders Council and overall troop program
