Resources for REC-BSA Chartered Organizations and Units

Redwood Empire Council BSA consists of all BSA Chartered Organizations located in Mendocino and Sonoma Counties.  These organizations provide the meeting places and oversee volunteer leaders for more than 70 units -- local Cub Scout Packs, Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crews, Sea Scout Ships, and LFL Explorer Posts.

All BSA youth members in packs, troops, crews, and ships pay a $66.00 annual membership fee to the National Council BSA, and BSA adult volunteers pay a $42.00 annual membership fee.  Explorers and post volunteers pay a $42.00 annual membership fee to Learning for Life.  Unit dues vary by unit, but most unit dues include the annual member fees.  

Redwood Empire Council BSA does not receive any portion of unit dues, and is fully funded through Friends of Scouting donations and other kinds of voluntary support.
