Journey to Excellence  

Scouting's "Journey to Excellence" is the Boy Scouts of America performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward improvement and achievement of our youth and leaders for our program in our packs, troops, crews, ships, and posts (as well as districts and councils).  Journey to Excellence (JTE) is the successor to the Honor Unit, Quality Unit, and Centennial Quality Unit recognition programs of decades past.

JTE measurements help us to set goals and strive to improve the membership outreach, leader training, program planning, and program outcomes at all levels of   the BSA.

Bronze JTE = Effective

Silver JTE = Excellent

Gold JTE = Exceptional (top 10-15 percent)
