Biography

Captain Flett is a Air Transport Pilot with three decades of Part 121,135 airline experience. He is currently looking for Senior Level Management opportunities in either Operational Management or Safety Management.   

Currently:

-   Serving on the AIRBUS Fleet for United Airlines performing Operational Experience training and Evaluations, Line Checks and recently given FAA Designee Status as a Quality Control Line/Initial (QCL/I) Check Airman.

-  Serving as a Vice President on the local Redwood Empire Council’s Executive Board & Chairman of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee for the Boy Scouts of America.  

He has extensive experience in flight operations management; teaching all aspects of safety and operations at the major airline level, and college course work. He has participated as an Safety Management Expert (SME) in Safety Risk Management Document (SRMD), and Safety Risk Managment Panel (SRMP) meetings with local ATC facilities and Airport/Tower Management personnel for future implementation of the SMGCS system and Runway Construction at SFO Airport.  

At the end of 2009 he concluded eight years of union representation serving as the Western Pacific Regional Safety Coordinator of Northern California for the Airline Pilots Association (ALPA), although he still retains full membership since 1986. In 2011 he ended five and half years as a member of the UAL ALPA Master Executive Council's All Weather Committee, where he also served as Chairman from 2006-2010.

Served as the Lead Ramp Safety Team Boss for the Pacific Coast Air Museum Airshow in 2012. Ramp Safety team member 2010, 2011.
