How to Join Scouting
To join Scouting, contact your local unit or contact the Council Service Center to find out how to contact a Scout unit in your area.
Attend a Recruiting Event
Recruiting events are a great way for you to meet leaders of Cub Scout Packs and Scouts BSA Troops serving your area and to learn about what Scouting can offer. Scout units typically host recruiting events at a local school, church, or civic center in the fall and in the spring.

Scouting provides youth with an opportunity to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and reinforce ethical standards. These opportunities not only help them when they are young, but carry forward into their adult lives. Skills they learn in Scouting help them overcome obstacles and challenges with courage and character throughout their lives.
