Redwood Empire Council Executive Board The Redwood Empire Council BSA Executive Board is elected annually by currently registered Chartered Organization Representatives and Council Members-at-Large.Among its responsibilities are: - Exercises all powers of the council body between meetings of the council. This does not include authority to change or amend the articles of incorporation.
- Ensures full compliance with the Rules and Regulations of the National Council BSA
- Approves the programs and plans of various committees.
- Elects volunteers council officers, and selects and employs a council Scout Executive, whenever vacancies occur.
- Approves and administers annual budgets adequate to achieve the objectives of Scouting.
- Establishes districts to organize volunteers on a local geographical basis in order to better facilitate council service to chartered organizations and BSA units.
- Make final decisions regarding all council business.
- Raises the funding necessary to serve youth and families through chartered organizations throughout the council area.
