The World Organization of Scouting Movement celebrates World Scout Day on February 22 each year, the birthday of both World Scouting founder Robert Baden-Powell and his wife Girl Guides founder Olave Baden-Powell. Scouts and Scouters are encouraged to wear a Scouting neckerchief throughout the day to celebrate and commemorate the Scouting Movement.
