Redwood Empire Council - serving youth and families in Mendocino & Sonoma Counties since 1919

Redwood Empire Council BSA has helped develop character, citizenship, fitness, and leadership in over 80,000 youth in our local communities we have served for more than a century. Our council's chartered organizations and units banded together beginning as the Petaluma Council in July 1919, expanded to become the Sonoma-Mendocino Area Council in 1943, and then became the Redwood Empire Council in 1992.

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
